Guadalmina is a beachside- and mountainside community, divided by the main coastal road (A7) and provides a of all property types, and is equally reached from Estepona, San Pedro de Alcantara.
Guadalmina Baja is on the beach side, and Guadalmina Alta belongs to the mountain side of the highway. The 36 hole golf course winds through both parts and is one of the longest established on the coast.
Guadalmina Baja consists of mainly exclusive residences on large plots with a clear up-market feel to it, and is now-a-days built together with Casasola, another beachside urbanization, also mainly consisting of villas. A short drive further and you are in Atalaya Baja, with a mix of townhouses and mostly smaller to medium size villas down towards the Hotel Atalaya and neighbouring the Marriott and Hacienda del Sol.
Guadalmina Alta links to the North with El Capitan and Los Arqueros Golf Resort. Guadalmina Alta has during recent years been developed to include a wide range of apartments, along with the mostly elderly villas around the golf course on this side of the A7.
Three international schools are nearby: Calpe College, Aloha College and Swans Primary School.
The Guadalmina Commercial Centre provides all amenities and services, including numerous restaurants and cafés, etc.
The area is popular, both for permanent living and for holiday makers. With the opening of the underpass through San Pedro, Guadalmina is suddenly a lot closer to Puerto Banus, Marbella Town, La Cañada Shopping Center.
