10 motive pentru a trăi în Estepona

Marbella Viewings - 10 motive pentru a trăi în Estepona

1. Locația:

Embedded along the beautiful Coast Stretch in between Marbella and Casares (Manilva), Estepona is only a short drive from prestigious locations like Puerto Banús, Marbella, Sotogrande and much more. Moreover, taking the motorway called AP7 the international airports of Malaga and Gibraltar can be reached within 40-50 minutes.

2. Authentic Spanish Lifestyle:

Whilst the more famous Marbella and Puerto Banus are more touristy in terms of languages spoken, restaurants, facilities and – of course – prices, in Estepona the Spanish culture is very evident in every corner. From the beautiful Old Town, where people living in the pedestrian streets leave their doors open while having lunch, sleep their siestas on the chairs in the streets or shout from their balconies to their neighbors living on the other side of the street something like “Oye!”, this place has not been transformed by the arrival of foreigners.

3. Beaches:

The beaches of Estepona, mainly 3, are all public and directly accessible on foot from the city center.
So starting from Playa del Ángel, located on the exit close to Marbella, where you will find a beautiful open-air museum and an ever green park for pic-nics, you access the Playa de La Rada, which covers the whole city center and is 2,5 km long. La Rada offers a lot of sports facilities, like beach volley installations and playgrounds for kids. Following the beachwalk until the lighthouse, located at the port, you will reach the idyllic family beach Playa el Cristo.

4. The Orchidarium:

The famous Orchidarium is a building, which is divided into 2 levels that are seperated by a beautiful bamboo forest. It covers a surface of 1.000 square meters and visitors will enjoy breath-taking attractions such as a lake, a waterfall of more than 15 metres and three glass domes, offering a spectacular sight. Amongst the more than 5.000 plants that it contains, there are more than 1.300 species of orchids from all over the world.

5. Selwo:

Selwo Aventura is a theme park and zoo occupying 100 hectares of land, where more than 2.000 animals of different species live together. The safari park offers leisure activities such as suspension bridges, dromedary ride and zip lines.

6. Drumeții și natură:

Estepona is well known for its many various hiking trails. In fact, on the whole there are approximately 87 different routes, which you can explore on foot. Luckily, these trails are located in natural parks and protected areas, so you won’t find any traffic while climing up the paths towards the beautiful hills offering spectaculare views to Marbella and Gibraltar.

7. Restaurante:

The culinary scene of Estepona is different from the Marbella ambient: maybe you won’t find Michelin-Chef Restaurants but the tiny streets of the old town hide some very tasty gourmet places and from vinotecas to international cuisine and local tapas bars, you will have plenty of places to choose in between. The beautiful Rada beach is also famous for its Chiringuitos, where you can enjoy the best fresh local fish for good prices.

8. Școli:

Even though the more prestigious and more expensive international schools are located in municipalities like Benahavís and Marbella, Estepona also hosts a British School, the famous Spanish private school San José and many high-standard public schools with focus on languages. Kindergardens, called “guarderías”, are a lot more accessible here than in other areas of the Costa del Sol.

9. Spitale:

Healthcare is written with a capital H in this city: not only it offers many private structures such as the Cenyt, the Hospiten, the Clinica del Rio, but also the public healthcare centers called “centros de salud” are spread all over the area, giving access to free and comfortable service. Moreover, the newly built public hospital, created with funds of the region Andalusia, is almost about to open its doors.

10. Properties:

If you have a look at our and other property portals, you will realize that prices / sqm are lower in Estepona than in Marbella and Benahavís. How come? First of all, the cost of living is lower in Estepona, which means that food, fuel, schools and leisure activities are relatively cheap in this ares. Secondly, the big amount of virgin land available for construction (due to the fact that before the huge crisis in 2008 constructors were focusing more on Marbella) and the competitive prices of plots are attracting investors from outside. That’s why Estepona offers plenty of newly built properties with amazing views and high-class facilities like pools, gyms, on-site security and much more starting from only 120.000 euros. Incredible, isn’t it? Find our complete offer of properties for sales in Estepona here.
